Spanner

The Rod Assembly Spanner

is for the fastening and releasing of the male couplings from the female coupling.

It is important to ensure that the male couplings are secure before putting the rods into any pipeline. Loose couplings can lead to the rods coming loose in the pipeline.

Sabricon Spanners have the design feature that they won’t slip off the rods like a regular spanner. The head is also shaped to stop the male coupling from stripping.

Sizes Available:

Our Spanners are available in an 8mm and a 6mm variant. The 8mm variant is double sided, catering for 8mm on one side and 6mm on the other.

Spearhead

The Spearhead

is designed to be used when the pipeline is blocked with something hard and brittle, such as glass, or for spearing cans.

To Use:

The tool is attached to the end of the rods and inserted into the pipeline. The rods are then pushed until the blockage is reached. At this point a pumping action is used to break up the blockage.

Sizes Available:

Our Spearheads are only available in one size, with the coupling size differing to cater for the various rod options. If however you require a different size, please contact us, we will custom make any tools that you may require.

Sand Borer

The Sand Boring Worm

is designed to be used in pipelines where the blockage is caused by hard or caked silt.

To Use:

The tool is attached to the end of the rods and inserted into the pipeline. Push the rods until the blockage is reached. Rotate the sand borer to penetrate the sand. The centre section is designed to break up the sand so that it can be flushed away or removed with the drop scraper.

The Sand Borer is also useful when you need to get a cable through a pipeline.

Sizes Available:

Our Sand Borer is only available in one size, and is only available for 8mm and 10mm Rods. If however you require a different size, please contact us, we will custom make any tools that you may require.

Recovery Tool

The Recovery Tool

is designed to be used when the rods break off in the pipeline.

To Use:

To grip the broken rods, push the tool into the pipeline past the point of the break in the rods. The tool works by hooking the next coupling on the rods so you need to push it at least one full rod length past the point of the break. Once past the break rotate the rods so that the tool coils around the remaining rods. Once secure pull back until you feel the tool grip the coupling. You can now pull the rods out of the pipeline.

Sizes Available:

Our Recovery Tools are only available in one size, with the coupling size differing to cater for the various rod options. If however you require a different size, please contact us, we will custom make any tools that you may require.

Flexiback Spearhead

The Flexiback Spearhead

is designed to be used where a spearhead is needed to break up a brittle blockage and you need to navigate tight bends in the pipeline.

To Use:

The Flexiback Spearhead is used in the same manner as the conventional spearhead.

Sizes Available:

Our Flexiback Spearheads are only available in one size, with the coupling size differing to cater for the various rod options. If however you require a different size, please contact us, we will custom make any tools that you may require.

Drilling Head

The Drilling Head

is designed to be used when the pipeline is completely blocked and no other tool can penetrate.

To Use:

The tool is attached to the end of the rods and then rotated whilst at the same time forward pressure is exerted on the rods. This drilling action will open the way for other tools to be used.

Once opened, tools such as the drop scraper and cable winching can be used to clear the debris.

Sizes Available:

Our Drilling Heads are only available in one size, with the coupling size differing to cater for the various rod options. If however you require a different size, please contact us, we will custom make any tools that you may require.

Single Worm

The Single Worm

is designed to be used as the primary blockage clearing tool.

This is the first tool you should try if the plunging does not clear the blockage.

To Use:

Connect it to the end of the rod and insert it in the pipeline. Push until you feel the blockage. Rotate the rod, and once you feel the worm grip the blockage, pull back the rods. This should clear the pipeline.

If this does not work, a different tool is required.

Sizes Available:

Our Single Worms are available in the following sizes – if you do not find the size you require, please contact us, we will custom make any tools that you may require:

For 6mm Rods:

Sand Scraper

The Drop Scraper

is designed to be used when the pipeline is partially blocked with sand or silt.

To Use:

The tool is attached to the end of the rods and inserted into the pipeline. The rods are then pushed until you feel the scrape folding over the sand. Push a little further and then pull back to the manhole.

Sizes Available:

Our Sand Scrapers are available in the following sizes – if you do not find the size you require, please contact us, we will custom make any tools that you may require:

Square Bar Worm

The Square Bar Worm

is designed to be used when the Single Worm is not heavy enough to pull out the blockage, specifically when there are rocks to be removed.

To Use:

Connect it to the end of the rod and insert it in the pipeline. Push until you feel the blockage. Rotate the rod, and once you feel the Square Bar grip the blockage, pull back the rods. This should clear the pipeline.

In the case of rocks in the pipe, the Square Bar’s specifically design sharp edge, will cut a groove in the rocks, allowing you to pull them out.

Sizes Available:

Our Square Bars are available in the following sizes – if you do not find the size you require, please contact us, we will custom make any tools that you may require:

Spiral Brush

The Spiral Wire Brush

is designed to be used when you have a soft fatty build-up constricting the diameter of the pipeline.

To Use:

To clean fatty build up, attach the spiral brush to the end of the rods and insert into the pipeline. Sweep the pipeline whilst rotating the brush for a better cleaning action.

The bristles on this brush are soft and will not clog easily.
